Driver’s Licenses
Nebraska State statute requires any person establishing residency in Nebraska for more than 30 days to register their vehicles in Nebraska as well as obtain a Nebraska Driver's license. Failure to do so may result in the filing of charges. Vehicle/Driver's License may be obtained at the Dawson County Courthouse in Lexington. Proof of ownership is needed to purchase vehicle licenses. Driver's license tests are given on Monday-Friday at the Dawson County Courthouse.

The Cozad Wilson Public Libary is located at 910 Meridian and contains numerous magazines, cassettes, art prints, sculptures and talking books for the blind or physically handicapped. Utilities
The Board of Public Works accounts for the Electric, Water, and Sewer Departments in the City of Cozad. The statements for electric, water, sewer and sanitation usages are mailed out the last day of the month. Payments are due by the 10th and delinquent after the 20th of each month. Late notices are then mailed and if the outstanding amount goes unpaid, the electricity and water are disconnected for non-payment. To re-establish services after being disconnected, please contact the Board of Public Works by calling 784-2090.
